Good for Kane and Ek but Captain Picard has been good for us

Stu back later this week?

Organizationally the Oilers do not value goaltending and havent for decades. It is a complete afterthought with this team.
which is fundamentally crazy, a bonafide #1 G is like a starting QB in the NFL, you are set all around if you have a superstar in net. The oilers whole philosphy should be to find a young goalie and allow them to develop (no schwartz) to be elite

imagine this scenario, Rodrigue comes in has 2 or 3 decent starts and then turns into a complete beast and steals playoff games.
And then Dustin Schwartz gets his hands on Rodrigue and turns him into the next Campbell/Skinner...

Also I’m not sure letting Kane practice shooting on Skinner is the best way to get his shot back.

Why can't you LTIR? It's retroactive to when they got hurt, so the 10 game/24 days thing is fine.
According to the CBA, according to Jeff Marek and/or Elliot Freidman on last week's podcast. I think it's in the CBA so that you can't just put vet's on LTIR in the last 2 or 3 weeks of the season and call someone up that can't play due to the cap. Whether it's retroactive to before the cutoff date, I have no idea how that would work.

What happens if Rod lays amazing? Does he still have to get sent down when Skinner comes back?
This is exactly what's going to happen. Oliver is going to play lights out, Skinner comes back oliver gets sent down and we get punted first roundbon skinners .850 save percentage

Lowetide’s article in The Athletic saying Pickard is the number 1 goalie right now and backed it up with receipts. One can argue Skinner got Woody fired, and now he is working on coach 2

Of course he is..

If he doesn't play in the playoffs, or is a shell of himself in the playoffs, the managers responsible for the trade should go.

I have no problem trading for a questionably available player, but at a steep discount or with conditions attached. Paying for retention with no conditions for a guy with a high ankle sprain (an injury my grandmother knows is uncertain and problematic) only for him to not play is fireable. Even if the cost wasn't major.

Shows incredible incompetence.
