They lost both McLeod and Holloway up front, and Broberg on the back end. All excellent skaters, with the two Fs attacking with speed through the neutral and into the offensive zone, setting D back on their heels a bit. You could afford to lose one, not both, and not replace it.

Noticeably slower for sure, but the top six, every single one of them, looks like hot garbage.

Holloway and Broberg didn’t play very much, or at all in Broberg’s case, during the season. McLeod was good at transporting the puck- but the Oilers didn’t lose big min guys playing major mins
