GDT: Rock the Red vs Redwings 7pm

Did anyone else who was there notice the Chappell Roan parody between periods - Punk Pony Club I think - about Ovi not being a one trick pony? I thought it was slick - a banger!

They actually played that? Ha, the Junkies were pumping it this morning.

I liked him but my thought was that his probable upside would be like, Lars Eller.
Said last year that if he added one more tool he'd be a real handful and he... may have added two, those wheels were crazy.

He moves like he's just throwing his body forward but holy shit was he galloping there, and a lot of times this year I've seen him make the effort to take extra strides instead of getting into his wide base and it's paying off a ton.

Big Pro sucked their will to live.

Bonus: Scawt Allen, as you’ve never seen him before!!

Chucky in the locker room is f'ing legend. It's stuff like this from him and Oshie that make you want to go to War for each other

And Pro... hitting his stride in all facets right now, looking like a O6 legend from the 50's w/that hair

Ha ha, literally saw this after my post.

I think there is some lack of motivation factor to their slow starts. Once they get going, they're good. Carbery needs to figure out how to get the boys ready from the very start.

I'm really liking Eller's play as of late. Can't score, but he has been noticeable all over the ice. That line looked pretty good last night.

I have to admit I was wrong on Protas. Just to own up I thought while he was still raw he could have been doing more physically amid our continual playoff loses in his time here. These big kids take time and if they become fast skaters... watch out. He could be a wrecking ball but its not his game and fortunately he can now fall back on his skating and scoring to carry his weight. But this playoffs I would like to see him use his frame and F1 some little defensemen through the glass to start our series. Series's. Just 1 or 2 hits. He can do it.

I will forever think our relentless playoff hitting was a huge part to us landing the cup. Led by Orpik. Playoff grade hitting had slowly been phased out of the playoff game (replaced with PPs including in OTs) but we went old school.
