Strong period territorially - shots are 13-6 Rochester - but they couldn't sneak one in past Felix Sandstrom. Comrie had a couple of fairly routine saves, LV had the only powerplay.

Feel like Murray's been their best forward tonight. Really loved him blocking shots in his own zone earlier. Would've loved if he had converted on the break Rousek sent him in on right before the goal.
I really wanted to see Murrey get a chance to make the jump again this year. He is not speed skater, but he is better than people give him credit for. At 6'6" 230 lbs he could add some needed physicallity to our bottom 6. At 24 and going into his last year of RFA next year, it would be nice determine if he can make it. How many players do we have that are good at standing in front of the net? Murrey does it well.

Need to get Olofsson, Aspland, and Hino out of the way.

He looks quicker this year than last IMO. That was what was holding him back - we can see that he knows where he needs to go, it's that he sometimes just couldn't get there previously. Also, his journey has been entertaining to watch and he seems like someone who is easy to root for, how he's earned a pro deal, then an NHL deal after the upheaval of his development seasons. If only he had a few more ounces of bastard in him to get the most out of his size advantage, but he's not naturally abrasive.

Imagine if he realized he’s bigger than most people. I like him, but he plays like he’s 5 inches and 37 pounds lighter than he is. If he decided he’s Cal Clutterbuck 2.0, everybody would want him.

It's temperament. He's not actively shy, he's just out there making plays in traffic. It's hard to manufacture - Tuch seems to have the Clarke Gillies "little black book" going on to remind him who he's PO'd with. Maybe Murray would benefit from that. If he leaned on people more, he'd be an outright terror at the AHL level because he's massive AND he can make a quality pass when the puck comes free from whoever he's pinned out.

Brink surprised Comrie on that one. And tied.

Weissbach had fed Jobst for a chance a moment ago and it's so clear the Amerks need some help in the middle. Nothing against Jobst, but ooof.

*sigh*

2-1 LV as the Amerks have a moment. Priskie loses the puck behind the net and it winds up in front to an uncovered Phantom.

I know it’s temperament. I’m just saying imagine if he was that way all of the time. He’s shown it in spurts (as he has a profile on hockeyfights), but Jesus, add the Clutterbuck thing and he’d be a full time NHL guy, even if he doesn’t score much

A poor man's Pat Maroon or Matt Martin.

comrie leaking oil out there?

Priskie vomited the puck on one. Kisakov fanned on the puck and his man on the 3rd while everyone is reaching and disheveled. The only one that I would like is the Brink goal back, but that was the sort of goal I would think a guy like Brink could score on many.
