Thanks! I'm still shocked they got through after how they played far too much of all the games in Syracuse in their own zone.
Coaching decisions and goaltending were the story. When Subban was on, he was unbeatable. Rochester staff made the right calls and were able to get the players to play a smart game. Hiccups happen. The team that was able to put them in then past and keep playing is moving on while then other team is packing the locker room and making tee times.

I know his production has made some of what should be regarded as special more routine…

But let’s take a moment and consider how amazing it is that Kulich came off an injury, stepped into a series his team was down 0-2 in and potted a goal in each of three elimination games. As a just turned 19 AHL rookie.

What were the adjustments Appert made to deal with Syracuse and their physicality to come back in this series, Inquiring minds would like to know.

How do the A experts here think their chances are vs the Marlies ?

I don’t think there’s one or two things to point to. They won a shootout followed by posting a shutout followed by getting out to a big league…getting steam rolled and holding on because the goalie made 44 saves.

They won three totally different types of games.

So the answer logically remains that they can not be beaten in the playoffs with Kulich healthy. The math checks out.

Random Amerks fact of the day:

Brett Murray is a draft pick from 2016, Tim Murray's last in Buffalo.

Lukas Rousek is a draft pick from 2019, Jason Botterill's last in Buffalo.

Both, currently, are the same age.
