Rochester Americans and Jacksonville Icemen 2024 Season Thread.

Amerks go 0-for-3 on the PP but score a shorthander and kill off all 6 of the Monster's PP's, including a brief time at 5-on-3 and some 4-on-3 time as well. Digging the PK, thought the PP did have some dangerous looks especially the last one, just didn't get something to drop.

The shot map for the first two periods had them with 16 shots (and four goals) from the house by my count out of the 40 they had over those two periods. They get inside and are around the net for sure.

Has Wahlberg been the best of our prospects in ROC? The chart linked above seems to think so.

Jax in action late tonight in Tahoe against the Knight Monsters, gametime at 10:30 Eastern. If anyone has the AHL package you can watch ECHL games too.

Former Gopher starter Justen Close gets the start - Vernon got the OT win last night.

Odd that there are four old time Sabre draftees in the game - Adam and Logan Nelson for Tahoe, Christopher Brown and Ivan Chukerov for the Icemen (just like last year).

The Icemen dropped the 2nd of back-to-backs in Lake Tahoe 3-1. They were stymied by Vikman on a variety of quality chances early though their one goal means some part of the organization now has a PP marker.

With Murray‘s power-play goal in Cleveland tonight, all three teams have scored a power-play goal within 24 hours of each other.

Well there is also the corner cam that puts you in the seat of someone in the front row but zoomed in enough to not be able to follow the action.

This is the “main” cam:
