Having Luongo would have been real nice, but Osgood making 800k in 07-08 still got the job done in spectacular fashion and was damn close to doing it back to back.

I certainly would've rather had Luongo in '06 than Manny friggin Legace.
But it's hard to know what impact that contract would've had on the rest of the team.

Would have been cool to see him play for Detroit, he was one of (if not) my favorite goalies of that era.

I'd have to look at the players and cap numbers etc... but if we added a vezina/hart goalie in this prime with our core guys I still think we win another cup if it means losing Franzen ...hes just the only guy to comes to mind , again I'd have to check the roster

Franzen was a rookie back in 06 so he wouldn't have been affected if we got luongo ... i cant find the salaries of the teams back then but obviously one of hasek Osgood would be gone maybe lang??
If anyone can find the 2006 2007 teams salaries let me know I could just find the rosters
He was 5th on the team in playoff points and 4th in playoff goals. To this day he is the most recent 40 goal scorer on the team. He was a legit piece here regardless of final outcomes.
