Robert Thomas - Time for his thread.

As others have said, Thomas doesn’t really have ideal linemates. He’s played most of this season with Buchnevich, who has been sub-par for most of the year though is playing his best hockey as of late, and Neighbours who just isn’t a top line caliber player. I think there’s another level he can get to, especially if Snuggerud really hits.

I've been a Robert Thomas truther for years and I just wish he'd shoot the puck more and get more goals which would get him more recognition that he very rightfully deserves. He has developed into a very legit 1C that can play in all situations at a high level.

I like Robby T! He was my darkhorse for a bottom 6 role in the Olympics.

Him and Suzuki should definitely be on the squad.
He's making the Squad. Doug Armstrong has already essentially said as much when interviewed by the Spittin Chiclets fellas recently. Thomas would have represented Canada at Four Nations too but Army said he was still getting over an injury that he had a bit before 4 Nations.

Thomas is a beast and at just 35 I feel he's one of those players that people won't be able to believe how young he is, if that isn't already happening, because he seems likes he's been around longer than his age would allow.

Man he looks young for 35.

As a rookie he was playing like he was in the league for a very long time and was just starting to break out offensively.

The guy is a heart and soul player that's a winner.

"I wish the real world would just stop hassling me!"

Seriously, awesome song aside, Thomas is the superstar of our Blues team. His last four seasons have had only one that wasn't point-per-game, and he plays on the powerplay, penalty kill, all 200 feet of the ice with outstanding hockey IQ. I think he's one of the best passers in the league as well.

And he's only twenty-five, is being paid 8.5 million a year for the next several years, and he's producing with every linemate - and when we needed a spark on offense, we've moved him to the Holloway/Kyrou line, and he immediately got the Goal of the f***ing Year (and that's not an honest opinion; that's a fact and it should be a crime to watch that sequence and not say it's the goal of the year).

I remember reading something along those lines at the time and it makes sense, Thomas should get one of the centre spots. He was coming off injury and not at 100% when the team was picked so I get not taking him, but next year he should be good to go. Very good all around centre, honestly better than his numbers.
