players get tons of games for accidental hits to head on clean shoulder to shoulder hits where head gets involved without hitter being able to predict that happening . this hit was right from the start a rat aiming his shoulder pad right for edvinssons jaw

Video's crap, and I didn't see the hit live last night, but that looked to me like he caught him in the sternum, and it was whiplash that caused the injury. Either way, Risto's got a reputation, and he's a Flyer, so there's probably a suspension coming, but I've absolutely seen worse.

You'd be surprised how little Trouba does this anymore. It happens like once every 25 games. He's much less physical now.

Looked clean from that high angle. Rito hit him right down the center line. Likely made head contact if Ed was injured, but that is acceptable by league definition.

We do need a closer angle though, that could change things.

Can't tell much from the posted video, it's 50/50 if it was contact to the head but the way he reacted and the fact that essentially ended his night, I'd guess he got it on the chin. Could have been a penalty? Maybe, maybe not... just hope Ed is out for any duration.
