Lots of youth; not a lot of veteran experience. He and Sanheim are it.
We are looking for a #4. Don’t know if Risto is even that.Could see bowman putting up a couple 2nds for a retained risto. He would be a top 3 guy on that blue line
1st round pick that you do not have... plus a prospect and no.. no 50% off his salary.I feel as though this is the kind of trade Edmonton is going to commit to soon. I don't think Risto is the piece they need on the right side and they can't afford to get him at his full salary.
So as the wrong guy for too much $$$ it seems like the inevitable move Bowman is going to make,
What would be fair value?
1st round pick that you do not have... plus a prospect and no.. no 50% off his salary.
top in SB, top 40 in hits on pace to score over 20- 25pts, plays 20min.. why they hell would we trade him unless we get good return.. EDM got nothing.Almost no one thinks a 1st rounder is a reasonable price to pay. Plus a prospect? Shooting for the moon, hey? Well, that's your prerogative.
Risto at 0% retention= free
Risto at 50% retention will require a 2nd plus a bit figure at least, just cause you are compensating the cap hit not the player, and when that happens the price goes up.
You should refrain from making ignorant commentsNurse is having a great year, actually. I am one of his biggest critics but fair is fair.
What would the Oilers have to trade to get Ristolainen at 50%?
I didn't know that, but it's f***in hilariousRumor was the Oilers had Risto ahead of Nurse but Mac T ended up meeting Nurse’s uncle in the washroom at the draft and decided to put Nurse ahead of Risto after that.
Mitts hasn't won a cup. Okposo has.Him being a former Buffalo player should be the main part of his value.
All the former Sabres players who become really good and won the cup after leaving Buffalo…Eichel, Reinhart, Montour, Mittelstadt…
So, any contender looking for the last puzzle piece should take a 2nd look at a possible Risto trade.
