He was always nice and playful to us kids every September as we got autographs outside maple Leaf gardens during training camp. Also got his autograph at the old hockey hall of fame at the exhibition grounds. Very personable and believed in being a good role model.

Got his autograph too at one of the Wipper Billy Watson skates at Maple Leaf Gardens, it was a dream skating on that sacred ice…….
