He was one of the toughest guy in Montreal, whenever a bar had troubles with patron fightings they would just call Mad Dog, he'd come in alone and he'd clean the place. Everybody was afraid of him on the island. A tough guy on and off the ring.

Just a thought to honor the memory of Mad Dog Vachon:

There's a guy in Montreal who likes to fight, is a loose cannon, does not play by the rules, and is missing teeth. So how about a new nickname:

Ryan "Mad Dog" White

?

I heard he was also a picket-line enforcer, and would pave the way for those who didnt want to strike lol..

I can't believe that place is still open too.

But I personally prefer Green Stop. Best poutine in town.

God... 1 poutine, 3 dollars, 5$ of fries, you eat for 3 days.

I used to go with my football buddies after games (Yeah, I know..) 10 Hotdog + a large bag of fries = 12 $ Best bang for the bucks

my favourite old wrestler. Can't remember the name of the guy he was going to wrestle but in the interview he would always say you better practice up on your flying come Tuesday night in Verdun!!!Best one had to be when Mean Gene interviewed him buildind a pine box for Jerry Fatwell as he called him.

Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon died today aged 84. From my home town of Ville Emard, Vachon was a pro wrestling star when I was a kid.

I was born in the Verdun hospital but all my childhood was in Ville-Émard. Hurteau Street! Awesome wrestling years. Seems that the Habs will have something tonight. Might just be a mention but anyway, at least they'll mention it.

He used to terrorize my father and his brothers for ***** and giggles when they were living in front of the Vachon family house on D'Aragon street.

I have nothing but good memories about this man.

«Vendredi soir à l'auditorium de Verdun m'a t'arracher la tête !!!»

RIP Mad Dog, one of my favorite wrestlers of all time.

Ville-Emard :yo:

Lets remember one of the great of our ptit coin

God, didnt knew lots of people around here live at Ville-Emard. I live there and i love it!

Great to see so many Ville-Émard people in this board. Didn't know that. As far as Dilallo is concerned....best hamburger ever. People have just no idea what a hamburger is until they go to this place.

Everytime I visit my sister who still lives there or my mom in Lasalle, I just HAVE to go and get a takeout from there. Will look next time if there is a Mad Dog picture still there or if it burned down in the freakin fire....

Hurteau is about 500 meters from my street Egan Avenue (technically in Côte-Saint-Paul). Anyway I missed the game start did the Habs do something in memory of Mad Dog?

Random but while I was reminiscing about Mad Dog and Dilaillo's and the 70s in Montreal, this wonderful Roger Doucet short came to mind.
