Oh my god, RIP. I'm so sad :(

The player we all wanted to be growing up and an inspiration to millions.

I can't believe this.

I grew up watching the Lakers. At first I couldn't stand them.

I grew up watching Shaq and Kobe. They played the spurs, the Kings, they were a dynasty.

I was elated when the Pistons beat the Lakers in 5.

In time I grew to accept the Lakers and marvel at them. 81 points in one game. That's ridiculous.

I consider myself a big Lakers fans now. Many laugh. "Where were you the last few years?" Right here. I was a fan of Kobe and the Lakers from 2008 on. They fought the Celtics, Kobe got one more, and I was happy for him. He was one of the greatest I ever saw play. And that is from 2001 when I started following sports, to today. I didn't follow basketball when Jordan was dominating. Kobe was our Jordan.

This is just such a mind numbing and shocking thing to see right now.

I was reading ESPN.com and there was a damn good picture of him and LeBron. LeBron had great things to say about him and they had become very tight after LeBron's arrival to the Lakers.

Is it really confirmed? I hope it's just a hoax because Will Smith died at least four times.

Bryant was one of my favourite players. Loved his style.
ESPN just confirmed so looking like it. RIP Kobe. One of the best to every play the game.
