RIP Ginger Papa

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

@SniperHF reported on his profile that one of the posters here noted he passed away recently. His profile says he hasn’t been active since last spring, but that absolutely feels like a mistake. I can swear he’s been active more recently, but I might be wrong. Years can pass in days it seems…

Now I’m not a Canucks fun, but he was one of my favourite posters on the board. Very even kneel and great to discuss with on the mains. Also was one of the few ppl who appreciated the Kylington hype I had a few yrs back and kept asking for clips. In retrospect, I might’ve overrated the player just a tad, but he didn’t care. Anyways, what a damned shame to pass at just 54 yrs young. RIP

He was last active in May 2024. There was an obituary that I came across on which seemed to be his but there's lingering doubt and I hope he randomly signs on ala Grub. I did tell Sniper HF I could not fully confirm this.

A thread memorializing my favourite Canucks poster made by my favourite Flames poster.

For one day we can stop arguing about petty hockey things out of respect for GP.

RIP.

He was a rare breed that was welcomed on so many different teams boards because he always made a positive contribution. Had a truckload of funny gifs he could draw in too to keep things light.
Just a great all round guy with such a positive attitude. Really sad to hear this news and my thoughts are with his family, whom I remember him talking about many times on this board.

Really sad to hear this news. He was a gem.

Just so happy and enthusiastic, spammed the like button and it was 100% genuine.

He reached out to me a couple years ago to thank me for always sharing about first nations issues here and that while he didnt always agree with me he could see how much it matters and means to me. Just a level headed, open hearted lovely person to have in the community. He will be missed
