Lowry with some uncharacteristically bad play that period.

I really hated that last Kupari shift, didn't support Samberg on the zone exit, the Jets were lucky the puck didn't get turned over.

The top line looks too soft out there.

Names line the best line that period.

I had some strange thoughts while crunching through breakfast with my AP newsfeed. The big story was a hockey player dying from a freak accident during a game in Britain. Thousands of tributes, every website expressing regrets.

Last night's shooting in Tampa Bay had 18 victims but was dismissed by a county official with "only 2 died"

Last night's shooting in Chicago had 30 people hit but "fortunately only 4 died".

In America on Sunday, there were SIXTY-FOUR incidents of mass shootings which one AP commentator said resulted in ONLY 14 people dead.

It's like living in some futuristic science-fiction novel worse than The Handmaid's Tale.

And in really relevant news: am I the only person who had Count Chocula for breakfast this morning?
For the life of me, I just cannot understand the guns laws in the US ? Is there any need to allow average citizens multi assault weapons, that are usually used only in war.( some fire 100 rounds in 5 seconds) Britain has tight gun laws and so does Canada, and there are very very few mass shootings. The US will have to change its gun laws, or these mass killings will continue. Of course they say that "guns don't kill people -- people kill people." Whats it going to take for this to stop.
