Patty's work ethic and defensive ability as a forward will never be matched by another player who wears NJ on their chest, Nico is the closest but I still don't think he'll come close to Patty's greatness in the dead puck era and how he sacrificed stats for the team.

He's really been fine for what he is this year. He's been mostly on the 4th line, his points per 60 is probably not bad at all. So he hasn't been bad for what he is.

But I don't see any reason to bring him back another year.

And that's coming from a guy that doesn't really have many complaints with him this year.

Team is a mystery. Score 4 on Swayman, can't score more than 1 on Forsberg.

Normally I have trashed these guys for tweeting these types of things, but I was honestly kind of wondering what he thought of this a little bit ago.

Hoping it's just week to week. Hopefully he's back before the break, but I wouldn't hate it if he missed that tournament. And I know A LOT of us feel the same way about our players who will be in it.
