Not surprised by the number.

I have such a problem with the inconsistency, though.

The fact that injury status of the plaintiff plays a factor. If a hit is dirty, it should be penalized accordingly, whether the recipient is hurt or not. That part drives me mad.

It's the inconsistency that bothers me. Playoffs coming or no, how does this get 4 games, and Scott's hit 7?

I just saw the Rinaldo hit on the Player Safety web site. I also reviewed the Scott hit that got him 7 games. There is a very glaring difference between the Scott hit and the Rihaldo hit. Scott had stopped skating and was just gliding while Rinaldo is in full stride when he hit Ruhwedel. So much so that he leaves his feet as he makes contact with him. He should have, at least, been given 7......
