Rick Nash's Tournament

Rick Nash was a questionable pick for this team and he was brought on to score. Having not seen him much in his career except for highlights, I was expecting him to contribute offensively for this team.

I'm not a huge Nash fan by any means but I was really impressed with his defensive play. TC obviously played great as a whole, but I just wanted to point out that Rick had a very underrated performance this tournament, almost completely on the defensive side. I think it shows he could be very effective for a Stanley Cup run... someday
Don't you remember him in Vancouver 2010? He played a similar role as in Sochi.

I never questioned Rick Nash's selection because unlike most, I follow international hockey more thoroughly than most North Americans and I also remember well his past participations on the national team. He excels in these international tournaments and he never had a bad tournament except in 2006 where EVERYONE sucked. The guy can score and if things don't click soon enough offensively, he can always play very good defence. He's not a one-dimensional player like many of you think.

The NHL is one thing, but on Team Canada, I've never been disappointed at Rick Nash.
