I would've been fine if even Lundqvist was sent to Columbus....

I mean Chad Johnson already has a shutout this season. We wouldn't of missed a beat...

You'd be okay with McDonagh going into that trade?

What? :help:

I'm the biggest Nash nut-hugger on this board
, but have people turned THAT quickly on McD after two meh games?

Quite the boast, there...why not put that in your sig as a badge of honor.

Haha.

It's true though, I've loved Nash for years...had a Nash shirt before it was cool. :sarcasm:

I was for a Nash trade once I realized how Sather was going to approach the deal. I said at the time that history dictated that Howson was never going to get the package he was originally demanding, and that Sather had the leverage on the deal he wanted to make. I was proven correct on both counts. As a Dubi fan, I hated to see him go, but, I knew what the Rangers were getting in Nash. If the big guy starts getting hot, this team could ready to take off.

what's annoying me is how cold our other top players are playing.

Richards looks like he's on Xanax and Gaborik is absolutely useless.

It can't just be Nash!

I was wrong about this guy. He's a great player in a quiet, humble way. Very rare these when someone has that ability. Just watched his 1st goal in the 3rd. Marvelously efficient hockey player.

The fact that people claimed Gaborik was a better player than Nash is one of the biggest indictments of our population I can think of.

Gabby actually looked better tonight I thought. Better chances for him. If he can wake up the Rangers have a chance to be a dangerous team.

He was a better player post lockout. 20 games is still a small sample size.

Gabby HAS been better than Nash, sans this season so far.

Twenty games is an awfully tiny indicator to act as if it was insane.

Let's see Nash play like this for a whole season.

To be fair, I have never been impressed with Gaborik's puck handling. I knew Nash could be our new Jagr in that regard.

Nash is used to imposing his will and having it go his way.

He likes pushing defenders around a bit and using his wingspan to make them look ordinary.
It's all good.

The second goal of his in the 3rd is the kind of goal truly elite hockey players score. Special player. Jagr caliber player for us right now.

Yes. Nash is an absolutely amazing player.

But Gabby has been better at straight up producing over the past 3 years.

It's painful to see the hate he gets when he was THE offensive weapon on our team that went to the ECF last year, but then fanboys jump to aid Nash when he wasn't producing because he looked good while doing it.

Nash is great. So is Gabby.

So happy to have both of them on the team.

If we're judging over a career, come on.

Cherry-picking a great streak from Nash vs. a slump from Gaborik.

Nash is definitely the better all-around player, but Gaborik is better offensively.

Either way, they are both crucial to this team's success.

I like 'em both, and I am sticking by Gaborik. Myself, I don't forget what he has done for NYR, and I don't think his time is up at all.

We've only seen Nash play a full season with one of the worst franchises in the league....

Let's see what he does over the course of a full season with the Rangers.... Gabby's a good finisher but he can't create his own offense the way Nash does.... Nash creates space on the ice because his stick-handling is so dangerous.....

Loving Mister Nash, best part about him is with that hair and unkempt beard, he could just put some ratty clothes or maybe an old blanket on and walk through the city with a shopping cart filled with cans and he wouldn't get bothered :D

I bet that's how he walks home after games.
