Rick Nash has 0G 1A from the Rangers first 14 goals

He's had some bad luck combined with poor finishing. I'm sure his production will pick up soon and he'll have a few games where he scores in bunches.

So points are the whole game? Huh, learn something new every day.

Here we go again...

An 8 million first line player is not effective when he isnt producinge. Especially when he is relied on to do just that. He's had one good game this season, one. Continuing just were he left off last year.

Just a joke.

The guy, like most of the team, had a slow start.

He was awesome in the San Jose game. All over the place...

Other than the fact that he is a Ranger, I don't understand the hate.

We all know he has to score more in the playoffs. At the same time, the Rangers have been the best team NOT to win the Cup in the last 4 years. Nash has played a huge role in having his team go so far very year.

Just garbage that this crap comes up again and again.

Pardon me if I don't take "Rick Nash 61: The Best" as the most neutral opinion.

But by all means, find me some more 11-percent-of-the-cap players that are all defense (and not even Selke defense).

42 goals last year, averaging over 30, is all defense. Now there's something new I learned today

My biased opinion on Nash is still more reasonable than yours, calling Nash an "all defense" player. Lol pls

Real talk right here

Not enough for them, dude. Rick has no heart and is lazy, those are all garbage goals don't you understand?

Feel like comparing last year's start to this year's start?

He gets hot and cold. Every goal scorer does that. Last year he was hot in October. This year he's cold. He's going to get at least to 30 like he always does. I don't care when he does it. He's still a good player when he's cold which separates him from other snipers.

He had stretches like this last year. Nobody noticed because he started well.

Being streaky is a good quality in a player all of a sudden?

Franzen = Nash, in that case. Except Franzen actually had a few good playoff performances.

No it's a common quality in players who score a lot of goals. Many goal scorers score in bunches.

Nash will have at least 30 this year.

There's no such thing as streaky. It's just variance. You'll never see a player score 41 goals by alternating between goal and no goal.

Is this coin streaky? It scored 5 heads in a row.

What player gets a "streaky" reputation based on one season?

If the coin consistently goes 10-tails, 10-heads, 10-tails, 10-heads over multiple repetitions, yes. It's streaky.

Him starting dead cold is unusual, and you can't deny that.

It's not at all.

In 12-13 he had 3 goals in his first 14 games as a Ranger and ended that season with 21 in 48.

In 13-14 he had 1 goal in his first 7 and ended with 26 in 65.

He really only started last year hot.

Guys like Nash go hot and cold. They can dominate for stretches and be a ghost at other times. The difference between guys like Nash and Kessel and the truly elite is that the top-end players are more consistent and can be built around.

He scored 40 goals just last year. Saying he's "all defense" because of a handful of games is a major overreaction.

Post first, look up the evidence later in here. Or more specifically, post first, look up the evidence never.
