Richards' Replacement

Im sorry but this is a pretty uneducated post to say the least. Replace Richard. The If you worded it in another way like who will replace the money of Richards than it would make more sense. Anyway why are speaking about who will replace him when he was already replaced last year when he was clearly not the best center or even second best on the team. A guy like Brassard outplayed him easily not to mention Stepan. In fact Richards has never really been a number 1 center or PP specialist that would warrant worry of replacement. Basically I hate that we are speaking about replacing a guy that isn't even a top 2 line center anymore and will prob be bought out soon unless he works his ass off in the offseason and starts to compete.

I'm more high on him than most here. He took a huge step forward this past season. He went from potential 4th line center to possible 2nd/good 3rd line center. Once he gets here, a lot of folks here will be going "who is this kid?" the same way they said that about Stepan.

John Mitchell

Whats funny hes better than Richards.

He may be 30 years old but he's a #1C that's getting paid second liner money. Weiss is the last decent free agent we'll see for a long time.

He's hardly a 1C. He's a 1C on a mediocre hockey team. How are the Rangers supposed to fit him in at $5M when they have Girardi, Callahan, Hank, Stralman, Boyle all hitting UFA, and Brassard, Moore, and Kreider hitting RFA next season?

we need to spend the money on a winger unless Hagelin or Kreider take a huge step this year.. We are very weak on the LW. So unless we move Nash back there and sign a RW to take his spot on the top line, this team seriously needs an upgrade at LW.

As far as your question goes... This is just a total guess, but..
