Reviewing the Panthers' 2010 draft class

Hey guys...wrote a new article for Cats on the Prowl reviewing the Panthers' 2010 draft class which looks back at their pre-draft stats and projections and then a where are they now sort of thing.

Let me know what you thing and feel free to discuss your thoughts on the players drafted that year and our 2010 draft as a whole. All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Well since we have discussed Gudbranson to death in his own thread already i like to put my spot light on Q.Howden. So whats up with this guy? Will he ever be more then a career AHL:er or a 4th line NHL:er? Is this guy our worst round 1 pick under Tallon?

Upside of a middle six player, likely a 3rd liner, PK specialist.

Well, he's still TBD. The team up until the end of last year still had those FA signings from 2011 clogging up the bottom 6. So, even if a guy like Howden could of made the squad last year, he would of had no shot due to the lack of space on the NHL squad.

This year will be the year to see if he can become a NHL regular with us or will he be like McArdle.
I still think he can be a good bottom six player for us, and a 1st line PKer. Maybe a Grabner-lite player, who is a fast player, can play PK and can score here and there.

He might be stuck on the 4th line until Jokinen really regresses/gets traded or bought out.

Yeah I think he missed almost 40 or so games last season. Had a good game shortly after he returned where he got 4 assists.

After draft too he had a major concussion in jrs too. I do want him on the PK next season, he can Dvo 2.0.

Broke his femur as a kid too...can be one of the fastest players in the league when he makes it here.
