The Panthers forecheck is absolutely ferocious and Vinny struggles a bit with speed.

I think it's Broberg's spot for the foreseeable future until he has a bad game or the PK becomes human.
I agree that Vinny is the weaker skater, but his toughness may be required against Bennett and Tkachuk. Wouldn't mind seeing the double Vinny headlock on those two asses. But Vinny might be hurting a bit, so it that would change my mind.

why do people even listen ?
I don’t not sure why anyone does. TSN is far more objective. Sportsnet is leaf homer network and full of awful analysis

I don’t even mind TSN. Sure they lean towards the leafs but Sportsnet is just Leaf fan boys with a platform.
Tsn is far better. Much more objective and better analysis. Sportsnet is garbage

And Leafs fans wonder why a lot of Oilers fans hate their team? This absolute garbage by the shill sports media reminds me any time I start to feel sorry for them

I don't go out of my way to listen to any non-local sports media nowadays because of this. I've met plenty of Leafs fans that are reasonable. There are only so many Divine's in that group
To be fair it was that 3rd little weenie they have that said the McDavid comment and Kypreos and Bourne said “I’m not touching that” but still.

The Canadian media should be hyping the only Canadian team left up but it’s the opposite. Local media I can understand but national media and the channel that has our games on it? Ridiculous. I turn on the TV to get hyped for the series and all I have heard today is

- How good Florida is
- Floridas cup run has been harder
- Oilers aren’t Canada's team because Ontario and I quote “more specifically the greater Toronto area” need to be on board.
- McDavid has a better chance of going to Toronto if the Oilers win the cup.

It’s absolute garbage that we have to pay for this to legally watch the Oilers games. It was the same before the Dallas series. I hope the OEG tells SN to go hoop its horn.

How so?

Can anybody provide an analysis on how the Stars and Panthers compare?
I’m assuming because this will be a more physical and nasty series. That being said VD was sending up pizzas when pressured and was constantly getting beaten to the puck against Dallas. I don’t know if he draws in.

Kypreos show talking about McDavid going to Toronto if we win the cup. Also saying the Oilers need win the Ontario audience to be “Canadas team”.

That was right after Marek being a dink towards the Oilers his entire show.

I hope Edmonton doesn’t sign with Sportsnet.

Yeah they can stfu. Don't give a flying f*** if the rest of the Canadian fanbases didn't support us either. Why the f*** would I care about the leafs when their fanbase has been churning the McDavid facial expression to this day to cope.

Hur durrrrr, leafs have only made it past the 1st round once in the last 8-9 appearances, but yes, Connor will surely want to go there after leading this team with Draisaitl to a SCF final. The Oilers could win the cup this year, and their dumb f***ing media would spin it to a leafs story.

TSN and Sportsnet: With the Oilers Stanley cup win, how closer are the Maple Leafs to winning a Stanley cup also?

Been learning a lot today. Florida apparently has no weaknesses as a team, despite rocking a 2nd pairing of NHL cast offs in OEL and Kulikov

"Harder path to the cup" narrative seems to be based entirely on eastern conference bias pushed by a bunch of media guys who haven't watched a pacific time zone hockey game since the 2010 olympic games.

Not sure if or how it would be possible, but I'd love to see them do for Gagner what they did for Demers to get his 1000th game. Just a few harmless shifts with minimal expectation so that he meets the requirement.
While the thought is nice. You don't put a player in just to get his name on the trophy if you don't think he'll help you win the game. If they thought he could help, they'd already have inserted him. I suspect he only plays if there is a couple injuries

Sure would be nice to have Bjugstad in our lineup. That 4C remains a big hole.

Absolutely not in a Stanley cup final. Some milestone in reg season maybe.

Finals you play your absolute best.

Narrative went from 'kings will win because 3 times a charm' to canucks only lost to the Oilers because they didn't have Demko and Boeser (for g7), to Dallas only lost to the Oilers because of fatigue from the Avs series' is the definition of f***ing major cope from the mouthbreathing haters.

Oilers deserve no credit, absolute none! They're the apparent PP merchants despite being as good as the Florida Panthers 5x5 scoring in the playoffs, but yet still being absolutely dynamic on the PP. The Oilers PK has been excellent throughout the playoffs, but nah, stars fatigue gets more credit than the Oilers, even though the Oilers PK did not give the stars a single PPG. The refs are favoring the Oilers because of false narratives like Mcbaby, Divestaitl, or etc yet every series, the Oilers have less Powerplays than their opponents. They can all f*** off.

Love Gags, but he is strictly only a 'break glass in case of an emergency' option.

The Oilers can also petition to have his name on the cup. Marc Savard got his name on the cup in 2011 despite playing less games than Gagner did for us this year.

Regardless, if the Oilers win Gagner will get to lift the cup and get a ring from the team.
Wasn't he injured though? Different than a guy who spend a large portion of the year in the minors.

Only way he draws in is if he agrees to actually hit people with his full force, crush them! It's the SCF, not a playdate.
