Speculation: Retool in LA

LA is too slow for how the game is played at the NHL level.

They might have trouble moving out some of their less desirable assets.

Lol does every leaf/king proposal have to include Nylander/Doughty.

Kings fans...I'm interested in Muzzin and Clifford. What are the prices for them individually?

I would do Brown and Johnsson...if LA needs to add a 3rd/4th, so be it.

People who say this don't watch the Kings. Their team speed is average.

Yeah, Honestly their speed is fine, but it still needs improvement.

But their main problem is lack of creativity and skill from their forward group.

If it is for Nylander they would/should

Yeah, for Nylander might be a different case...but this is under the assumption Leafs lock up nylander at some point.

Toffoli is one of the few players on the Kings who has some offensive prowess and some stick handling skills. If, anything they need to keep adding players like Toffoli

in the same breath he is one of few assets that could be moved and get significant return

3.b) they barely made it in in 2012 and things worked out ok. Obviously that is not the standard but 8th seeds to well in the NHL compared to other sports. Sometimes you just need to get in.

Remember, they weren't your average 8th seed in 2012, or at least that's the answer given people disrespect them as being lucky or not real contenders that year. I don't think that we can argue that and then, when the team is struggling to make the playoffs, argue that all that they need to do is get in and anyone can happen. The two arguments are not really compatible with each other.

We need to be careful about making that argument and then turning around and suggesting that they proved that all that a team needs to do is make the playoffs. fair, but the 06 Oilers and the 04 flames also made runs as low seeds. I know there have been other. My point is the parity in the NHL is greater than other sports and getting into the playoffs is a big step.

Honestly, I would do that but I think a lot of leaf fans might be reluctant to give up our 1st.

2nd Maybe? Johnsson and Holl are ok.

The 2nd is going to be 50-60th so Id push for the first. Holl is fodder for the Leafs at this point. I like him, but Babcock loves Marincin for some reason. Johnsson hasnt put it together at the NHL but shows signs he could. The 1st is the real piece in this.

Fair enough. As I said, I would do it.
