OT: Restaurant thread

Dairy Whip and Venice House next door were my two staples growing up. Glad one of them is still around to give me that chili burger fix.

Really wish Sonya’s on Henderson by the Disraeli bridge didn’t close down. That was the best burger in town.
Venice House was very good pizza. Miss it along with several others - Cioccara, Eiffel, Porteous...

Yeah, I really miss the Venice House pizza a lot. Had lots of cheese, and fresh veggies. I don’t think I’ve had a better pizza ever.

Funny thing, they used to have big lineups to get in, then they expanded, which was costly and raised their prices too high, and people stopped going there. Sometimes expanding backfires.

Was owned by 2 brothers- Arnold and Morley Zatzer. I knew them well and did some business with them.

Years ago i got food poisoning from a taco place in St.Vital mall . Had my very first taco and said damn that's pretty good so i had another. I have never been so sick , i couldn't stop throwing up. Still can't stand the smell of taco seasoning to this day. Been going to LA with friends for a while and they always tried to get me to go to this Mexican restaurant so a couple of years ago i agreed to go. I'm sitting there waiting for my meal and a girl absolutely screams as she is leaving so i stand up to see what she was screaming at and it was a huge rat. Needless to say i didn't eat anything and watched as they tried to catch it with a dust tray that was WAY too small.
