I always have the Tanner from the Bad News Bears response to these kinds of posts but not this year. You guys have a good group over there and best of luck the rest of the way.

Hmm, I've actually never watched that movie, I should check it out, hear its a good flick. ;)

Seems like we've only played the Habs the past couple seasons. Made me forget that other fanbases can have some class. The main board threads were quite pleasant compared to what we're used to.

ps. **** the Habs.

Seconded. :) So glad the Rags ousted them. Hopefully Price pulls a Roy.

Kind words and Thank You and Good Luck!

I went to all 3 games at the Canadian Tire Center and despite myself and my family wearing are Bruins colors proudly and cheering every chance we got the fans in Ottawa were extremely Classy and respectful!!!

We even ran into a couple of your top prospects Nick Paul and Andreas Englund and shared a nice laugh.

Wow, that Game 5 must have been quite the experience! Glad to hear that our fans were good to you. :) That's cool, where did you run into them? You now have met more of our players/prospects than I have.

I hated that some Boston fans threw stuff on the ice (twice) and that one moron grabbed a stick, but he got rightfully schooled by Karlsson. Not a fan of Coach Boucher and his style of play, but the Senators deserve to advance. Tip o' the cap to Senators fans and your team.

I can't blame them TOO much... They are (understandably) upset and frustrated. Hockey fans are a passionate bunch.

Hey, lose the chip off of your shoulder. The Ottawa fan made a classy post, no need to be rude to them. Ottawa fans are the classiest fans of all in the NHL. If you visited out there likemy family did and wore Bruins T-shirts- they literally go out of their way to chat hockey with you and are fun and respectful people. Because of several of them, we found out we could take a self guided tour through their building during the off season (for FREE!!!!) and they let us know all about the rookie camp going on a couple of miles away and gave us directions.

Fans at the rookie camp were wonderful there as well! We all remember seeing Cece being a little hard nosed punk back then, and thanks to those gracious fans, we have a memory my family and I won't forget.

These fans don't deserve rudeness or sarcasm.

Bruins fans are giving us a run for our money there. :) I'm always happy to hear about (classy) opposing fans that have a good clean time in our barn.

Go kick some Rags ass!!!!!:handclap::handclap:

Thanks! With B's fans behind us, we can't lose! :)

We will be talking about McAvoy for years and remember when he came in as a rookie with NO NHL experience and was instantly solid on the top pairing! Holy crap that kid is going to be good!

I always knew Karlsson was elite, but WOW! And Burns struggled in his series. I'm pulling for the Sens in the East now. I've always liked MacArthur.

Thanks, I think I speak for most Sens fans when I say we couldn't have picked a better guy to score the winning goal for us. You can't help but love CMac. :)

And re: Burns, if I'm not mistaken, the Norris voting is tabulated before the playoffs, so (unfortunately) I don't think those 2 series will impact the voting . We certainly think Karlsson deserves the Norris. His game is more well-rounded than ever this season.

He'll be in the Norris discussion before you know it.

Can we have Karlsson? Seems like your scouts know how to find amazing defensemen. We're still loving Zdeno- even at the age of 40, he is still a hard working, dependable blueliner for us. Karlsson is just amazing- when he's not playing against us, I really do enjoy watching him skate up the ice with the puck.

Best of luck in the next series. We definitely had a nail biting and nerve wracking series, and it's been a pleasure conversing with you Ottaw fans. :handclap::handclap:

Likewise, and no you can't have him! LOL We already gifted you Chara. LOL

I maintain that he is in the discussion with McDavid as the best player in the world, and this season, and this playoff, he's showing it. :)

I think I echo the sentiments of many Bruins fans, thank you Sens fans for being good sports about things.

I think after a day or two I'll convince myself to root for the Sens coming out of the East, but I have no real dog in this fight any more. I'll probably watch a bunch of Nashville or Edmonton games going forward, pretty fun teams to watch.

He's unbelievable and supposedly played with two hairline fractures in his foot.

His speed and acceleration is epic just an unbelievable talent!!

We meet your prospects out and about, I was actually joking with them telling them I was going to blow up their spot, Varrone was with them as well.

I've said in threads before, the Senators are a team I pull for when playing teams other than Boston.

This year was a trying time for them with the personal crisis faced by Craig Anderson and his wife. And it was emotional having Clarke MacArthur return.

Obviously I can't say I'm thrilled he ended our season, but I do feel happy for him.

Classy post here, and I wish the Sens the best in the next round.

Yeah, I heard that too. I've never had a hairline fracture in my foot (let alone two), but I imagine that they don't feel very pleasant. And to play in the best league in the world, a fast game like hockey, at the level Karlsson played at, well, we can see how great an athlete he is. :)

Thanks for the kind words. When you see bad things happen to good people like MacArthur and the Andersons, it makes you smile even more when good things happen to them. (But sorry they both played a part in ending your season. I honestly wish we could have faced off in the conference final rather than the first round). I was worried that posting this thread, especially RIGHT after the series ended, would be seen as 'rubbing it in' or gloating, but I should have known that the classy bunch that is the Bruins fanbase wouldn't take it that way. :)

Let me say thanks.

Moreso thanks for the sportsmanship. I encourage my fellow Mods to pipe in here too.
Ive been on this board near 20 years. Modding through many a series.

I have had to intercede or act a miniscule amount of times over the past couple of weeks.
The Sens fans have been nothing short of the definition of good sportsman.

I dont write this lightly. Im not known for my complimenting of the foes. But whats right is right.

Thank you.

Yes. I don't even remember deleting a post from a Sens fan, never mind any infractions. Classy bunch.

Good luck going forward, guys.

Still bitter towards the officials and since I live here in Ottawa and have to deal with a lot of their ignorant fans I hope the Rags knock them off and if not them someone else.

Thanks for the kind words. I agree with the sentiment that the Sens fans are respectable for the most part - both teams had the odd idiot posting nonsense but very civil otherwise.

The injuries killed us, plain and simple. Ovi started it and I hope the Caps crash and burn like usual.

Other than that, I don't have a stake in the playoffs anymore.

BINGO
Glad you brought that up. Ovechkin with yet another sneaky late (illegal) hit on defenceless player.

Maybe the low bridge hit Ovi took from Kadri is karma (Hate Kadri, dirty player).
