I hope he plays well enough to replace Strome long term. More complete player less of a liability. Strome has an edge. I hope Copp has that grit. He is a physical player and doesnt take penalties so thats a good sign. Strome took a lot of retaliatory penalties, if he was sticking up for himself or a teammate that is fine. It’s the lazy hooking slashing calls I hate. Copp does not do much of that. he does not go overboard like Strome does by being out of position. Copp also wins faceoffs.

I was one of Strome's biggest defenders the last two years and thought that people were just complaining to complain. This year he started off well but the last 20 or so games has been completely dreadful.

Strome is a great example of contributing very little but gets lucky enough to get points because he's in the right place at the right time 1 out of 10 games, whereas a guy like Laf works his ass off and sees little return. f***ing can Strome.

If you asked me 2 months ago I would’ve said Strome was a must sign. Now I’m not so sure. He’s slowed down and takes awful penalties. They can certainly upgrade over him.

Winnipeg moved on from copp as he decided he wanted to get paid this offseason so it might not be a choice that includes Copp

I just really don't want to see Strome on the team next season. I hope they can figure out a better alternative, whether that's Copp or someone else. Strome is one of those guys that for whatever reason I just can't find it in me to like.

You need your head examined if you vote Strome, which is why it’s 36-0. He’s been shit since New Years and Copp does everything the Rangers need. Clearly can play well with top 6 players as well. He’s getting a 5 mil AAV extension and Strome’s “A”. Drury knew exactly what he was doing trading for Copp and Motte
