If there is any substance to this speculation, it will be linked to whatever miller's leave is about, and we don't know anything about that.

Personal matters aside, there is no reason for vancouver to move him, and there have never been any reports of Miller requesting a trade either.

He’s missed 4 games not 40

Look mate, it's entirely possible that JT comes back, plays fine and all is well in Cannuck-land. I'm just throwing this shit on the wall, as one of the possibilities.

It's a bizzare situation, so you can't just go at it from the face-value of "what is JT Miller worth".

Two years ago Canucks fans were calling him lazy and a locker room cancer. I don't think many teams around the league will be fooled by the Canucks fluke season last year.
What about the previous two before that?
Just proves you have absolutely have no clue what you’re talking about🤦‍♂️

Miller and either Myers/ Soucy for Zibanejad and Schneider? Vancouver is giving up the best player, and Vancouver may have a LD replacement for Soucy in Brannstrom, so we could trade either Carson or Tyler Myers with JT to get Zibanejad who's been an underperforming C, and Schneider is decent but probably not irreplaceable (3rd pair and you guys have Mancini, so if Soucy is a better fit you can have him instead).

That is so bad for the Canucks.

Miller isn’t going anywhere. Just generating clicks. Even if the reporting is true, this is a report that NYR called VAN to ask if he’s available, not that the Canucks are shopping him or made him available. GMs are likely calling on any number of players all the time.

Yea Dhaliwhal touched on this today, basically saying the Rangers are desperate to make changes and Drury is just doing his due diligence and looking into every possibility.

I’m a Canucks season ticket holder and don’t think they will trade them but what is a realistic package that the Rangers could send to the Canucks for him?

Feels like rangers are about 2 years too late on this. This was talked about by the Canucks when Miller was in the final year of his contract or even when he had a year left back when Schneider was a rookie in 21-22 season. As he was the main piece Van fans wanted in return.

Miller and his wife have a bunch of charities and ties to vancouver, the team wants him, management wants him, and even dubbed him the spiritual leader. there is 0 chance he will be traded at this point. EP will be moved before him, and that is becoming more and more unlikely as EP is back to being productive. the Rags lost their chance to acquire him.

what was the ask?
