I’m a Canucks season ticket holder and don’t think they will trade them but what is a realistic package that the Rangers could send to the Canucks for him?

I'm a lunar land baron and I think they will make this trade!

99/82/103 point seasons recently. PPG the last 5 years. One of the best power forwards in the game. Very durable, missed 7 games in the same amount of time prior to his leave of absence. There aren’t many 100 point centers that play all situations, averages 210 hits a season, and is top 10 in faceoffs consistently.

We ain’t trading him unless Perrault + is coming back.

A lot of people here laughing at this and asking "why would Vancouver do this?"

Even some people in the Vancouver media have wondered this out loud: why has Elias Pettersson suddenly started playing better when JT Miller is not around?
He started playing better before Miller took his leave so it’s just poor journalism.

2 main things that have been touched on ad nauseum.

1) He started playing like himself early in November. The points weren't there but he was dominating the fancy stats on a game to game basis, especially defensively.
2) He seems to thrive when he has to be the guy. Ironically enough, when other guys are struggling, he tends to make himself noticed with a big hit or a timely play. This absence is forcing him to be the guy and he's on record saying he wanted to be paired against teams top lines this year. That's usually Miller's domain, so he has that chance now.

They aren't best friends. We know that, and that's okay. There have been rifts in the past, but all signs point to them having learned how to coexist. Obviously it's much better when the team is winning.

Even that deal is arguably Van getting robbed.

The Rangers fanbase hyped up Kravstov to the point where he was the #1 ranked prospect on HFBoards a few offseasons ago lol. I’d be wary of their other hyped prospects…

He started producing better before JT left, yes. I haven't watched the Canucks, so I am just relying on your sports media, but some people seem to think that he has seemed more engaged with JT out.

The JT situation is interesting to say the least. It doesn't sound like a family matter either, based on Alvin's comments.

Miller for kreider and zib with nyr retaining half of kreider's salary to make things work. Would probably get zib to waive his nmc if he goes with kreider.

Exactly
Started game 1 of a home stand

12 points in his last 9 games

Miller’s leave of absence was over a week later
Then again, who knows what might've happened behind the scenes that caused the uptic with EP and JT taking LOA soon after that?

Very much possible the two are not connected in anyway. But even if they are not, JT might have some issue with Vancouver, because I doubt the Rangers inquiry would've been written about by Staple if there was no way it could actually manifest.

No one is more connected in this industry than Biz these days. If Biz is saying there’s beef between EP40 and Miller, plus the practice scuffle. You’d have to think there’s something behind that.

Nucks need to choose JT Miller or Petey. Which chant do you like better?

You're as likely to trade for JT as we are to trade for Fox or Igor. Rangers did their due diligence, the answer was no, and both sides moved on. This doesn't need a thread lol

It’s a rumor going around hockey media, how does it not deserve a thread? lol

Seeing as his wife deleted all her social media, and I know we shouldn’t speculate on here

Maybe Pettersson and miller don’t get along, but millers absence is clearly personal

Some of these offers for Miller are nuts, Rangers fans acting like JT is the same bozo that left the Rangers way back when

No, the offers are what they are because some people think the Canucks are going to be forced to trade away Miller. Thus, the price goes down.

You’re talking about 100 Point Centre who’s been a monster in the playoffs, as recent as last year.

And that’s the offer?

The JT Miller slander is so annoying, he’s one of the best players in the league, he is a beast.

Two years ago Canucks fans were calling him lazy and a locker room cancer. I don't think many teams around the league will be fooled by the Canucks fluke season last year.
