Salming for anybody, and that could almost be anybody except the goalies.
That would be a terrible trade.Keeping it to your preferred era:
Marner for Mogilny (RW for RW)
Its a good one but Keon would come close no? Out dates me a bit.I can't think of anything that would come even close to this in terms of positive impact.
lol that's not the same tier, come on. Unless you mean the 35-year-old Leetch who played for the Leafs, then yeah alright.Brian Leetch for Mo Riels
Replacing Rielly's lack of a point shot most definitely needs to be replaced but Phaneuf could never get it on goal. McCabe had a howitzer and would maybe be a better choice.
Can opener over the double Phaneuf lol
Yeah ,when your partner was Korbinian Holzer, hard to play D. He always had the shittiest D partnersIf memory serves, statistically Phaneuf's shot accuracy really wasn't that bad. His defensive play was a bigger problem.
Marner for Wendel Clark Clark could score and hit like a freight train
I love Wendel but he isn’t close to the same tier as Marner.
Nylander for Clark.
Both one way players with great shots but obviously Wendel was way tougher.
Oh your optics couldn't be worse. That would be a terrible trade.
I remember Boyce, Crabb and Brent so well.Matthews for Joey Crabb
Marner for John Pohl
Nylander for Tim Brent
Rielly for Ian White
Tavares for Darryl Boyce
We used to be a real team
Except for Regher (sp?) in Calgary, Gunnarsson was probably the best partner he had.Yeah ,when your partner was Korbinian Holzer, hard to play D. He always had the shittiest D partners
Playoff scoring - Mogilny's playoff production dropped significantly and he definitely wasn't much of a jam guy.Oh your optics couldn't be worse.
Our chief complaint of Marner is his lack of playoffs scoring and physical engagement.
Alexander Mogilny in his prime was a bit of a m'fer with jam and he scored 76 goals in the regular season (55 with VAN.) and that same year was a goal per game contributor in the playoffs.
Precisely why would it be a terrible trade?
I think someone did qualify Lindros along those lines.Playoff scoring - Mogilny's playoff production dropped significantly and he definitely wasn't much of a jam guy.
I loved him btw.
I suppose I'm just looking at his time in a Leaf jersey which is what I thought we were doing. If we're doing players in their prime there should be a lot more Lindros, Leetch and Francis mentions.
