Hes already been offered an in-person hearing. I can’t imagine he’ll get any less than 5 games, wouldn’t be shocked to see 10+. With his history he realistically probably deserves 15-20, but we know the DoP(e)S doesn’t actually care about the PS part of their name.

The problem is, in terms of skill level, skating and hockey IQ, Rempe is an ECHL level player. That was fine having a meathead like that in the 1970s and 80s, but it's a different league now. These days, with the speed and skill of the game, we need the heavy hitters to have NHL level skills (and brains).

We definitely do need more big hits and physical play in the league....but it has to be done right. And Rempe ain't it.

We need more Tom Wilsons, Evander Kanes, Alex Ovechkins…

Players that score and play hard… but Reaves and Rempe borderline players that are not part because of their skill should not be in the nhl

Thats in response to some devils fan who last year used social media impressions to claim fans liked skill more than grit. Then rempe came along and wiped the floor with those impressions. NO ONE cares about miro heiskanen. NO ONE buys tickets or watches games to see him play. People do go out of their way to tune in when they otherwise wouldnt to watch matt rempe.

If rempe wasnt playing last night id be locked in on indiana/notre dame. Rempe played so only watched iu/nd at intermission.

In a vacuum Rempe's hit should be a 2-3 game suspension. However his four game suspension for an elbow just nine months ago means he's getting at least six.

He should be 1 more event from a Raffi Torres suspension, if Parros cared more about actual player safety and less about taking the heat for giving his bosses plausible deniability about caring juuuust enough about player safety to avoid lawsuits and keeping their expensive toys on the ice as much as possible.

How many Leafs games have you watched this year? Ryan Reaves has played in 23 so I imagined you tuned in for all of those. Reaves is really a can't miss player.
