This is a really tough one. I was one of the few that had Eichel right there with Matthews and i always expected him to be a top 5 player so i'm biased and hopeful he has another gear..... But as of right now it's Reinhart overall.

I'm going to be stubborn and take Eichel

Have you seen Eichel this season? He’s hit that next year.

I have to watch Eichel more. Because Rienhart is playing really well. On par with last season when scored 57 goals with very good defense. Maybe, Eichel is playing better than that, but way better? Enough to say it's not close going forward?

They are both in a purple patch of form. They both have identical scoring rates, the same +/- on similar baddy Cup teams, almost identical ice time with lots of PK responsibility, similar ES and PP splits.

I would naturally gravitate slightly towards the center who is compiling these points while shooting 11% compared to the winger shooting 23%. I think Jack just has more pure playmaking and vision. No slight on Reinhart who is cementing himself as elite. Nobody in the league is playing “much better” than him. That’s hyperbole.

To me, Stone and Reinhart is the comp to make still…they are the two best 200 foot wingers in the NHL today.

Echo what was said above. I’ve made the Stone Reino comp on our boards many times.

Even if he doesn’t score 50, even 40, you are getting elite 200 ft play. That means on any of the 3 lines we run, you are getting a defensively responsible Center in Barky, Benny, or Lundy paired with a defensively responsible wing in Reinhart.

Not to mention, he also takes faceoffs for if the draw is on his strong side

Lots of similarities between the past two Cup champs. Healthy Tkachuk, you probably go with Florida for their top six and in net when Bob gets locked in. Vegas gets the clear advantage with their top blueliners. Both have incredible depth up front including insane center depth and can create an enviable amount of line combos that enhance the effectiveness of their support and role players.

Most importantly, both get accused of cheating the system or games constantly on the main forum - a clear sign you’ve made it.

Plenty of hockey to go but if healthy-ish, a matchup between the ‘23 champs and ‘24 champs would be hellaciously good as a neutral.

Wait, what is the case for Eichel again? He’s got more potential?

Give me the guy that’s leading the league in points, has put up more goals and assists and rarely misses a game.

Eichel is the much better player. And the much bigger entitled dick.
I’m sure you were a peach when you were 21 years old too.

He’s a better hockey player. Dominant TWC who controls the play in all 3 zones and has already proven he can be the best player on a Cup winner.

There is no argument for Reinhart. He’s shooting 20+ % again. He will come back to earth and this poll will look dumb.

No argument for the guy who has put up more goals by far, more points by a fair margin and who isn’t injury prone?

Okay 😂

Reinhart is coming off an almost 60 goal season for the Cup champs and is on an even better pace this year.

You can argue many players are better than him including Eichel, but the term "not even close" does not apply in any case unless you're comparing him to McDavid.

I like Reinhart more. Not that he's more talented than Eichel or anything. Reinhart broke out with his new team, and I don't think he would have hit that potential have he stayed in Buffalo. Also less maintenance
