If Smith gets moved it's because whatever they're getting in return looks better to them than Smith as an own rental. Either Vegas gets him signed or they get out something for him instead of letting him walk.

If Varlamov were a pending UFA i would agree, But since he still has $5,000,000x1 left on his deal and Vegas is already in cap crunch. I can't see that happening.
