Red Wings Rumors, Trades, Waivers III

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Xenforo Cloud is upgrading us to version 2.3.11 on Monday July 20, 2026 at 12:00 AM PST. Expect a temporary downtime during this process. More info here
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.

I've already mentally prepared myself that Danielson is likely on the block, but I think ideally he's part of a deal for Thomas or EP40.
yeah, hasn't it already been reported that Danielson wasn't available in a couple of other deals? I think we'd move him, but it'd only be for someone like you listed. I think Trocheck wouldn't tick the right boxes for Yzerman to include Danielson.

Idk, it's not the TDL so I won't freak out yet but sheeesh.

Seems like every team in DET want the fans to hold the bag while they pretended like they want a championship without really trying there hardest. All of them just want to be good/competitive to sell tickets/fans.

We'll see.

One hundred percent. The Lions had better wake up or their window will be over without even making a Super Bowl. And I really hope there's still something unfolding with the Pistons. Not exactly sure how the NBA deadline works, but it was talked about on radio as if what they did might still be part of additional moves. They're right there, and with one more piece they could have a real shot to win it all.

As for the Tigers, both sides in the Skubal mess have handled it horribly, no matter how the arbitration comes down. Either move it forward and build around your ace, or deal him if you're hell-bent on waiting for all the kids. But Moneyball Part 2 isn't going to get you anywhere meaningful.

While I respect Yzerman this Pararin trade missed is just a joke. I'm hoping he said he didn't want to come to Detroit otherwise this is an incredible blunder on Yzerman.

I actually pretty much don't know anything about baseball...

The Lions window closed in San Fran on 4th down x2. Mark it down the Lions won't win with Meathead as the coach.

I feel the Wings are about 4-5 players away from a legit chance to win it all. Those players might already be there and just haven't developed.

It would perfectly fit the Lions history if Ben Johnson turns Chicago into a really good team and Dan Campbell flounders. They had their chance in that NFC championship game against the 49ers a couple years ago, up 24-7 at halftime and haven't looked the same since.

Meh, they went 15-2 the following season despite being decimated by injuries.

They went 15-2 with the best point differential in the league (and the best in 5 years), but go on...

Yeah, but Ben Johnson was still there. This season Campbell had to take over play calling duties while Johnson turned around the Bears in a big way.
Still had the 4th most PF in the league without Ben (and a much worse o-line). Let's see how they do with the new OC.

With the Olympic roster freeze now in place, it seems safe to assume that most of what is going to be moved at the trade deadline is going to be guys who are set to hit free agency. The only big name to get moved was Quinn Hughes and that was because Vancouver had no choice but to move him.

I'm not expecting much, it's likely to be another mid trade deadline.

Doug Armstrong saying I'll listen to offers for anyone on my team and then only trading Nick Bjugstad is the NHL in a nutshell. All sizzle, no steak.

Vancouver has been trying to move Elias Pettersson since last summer. I get that they are terrible at everything, but maybe it's time to lower the ask?

The Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets, and Nashville Predators aren't in the playoff picture, but they aren't going to move aging assets? They're not buyers and they are not sellers. What a league we have here.

I guess we're reliant on Chris Drury getting clowned in order for there to be any real movement, so we've got that going for us, which is nice.
