Other than the last minute that was a poor period. PP looked really bad.

These refs are not up to standard, hopefully we don't see them again this year
 
You know the reffing must be beyond bad when Edzo and Pierre keep pointing out the pens Detroit are getting away with.

Meanwhile, that extended zone possession started with Nash and co. It WebTV 4 quite a bit b4 Stepan got a touch and when it came to him he couldn't catch the pass. Of course. That dude is an anchor on skates and I can't wait for them to get rid of him. Hope its this summer.
 
The Devils and Red Wings have been getting away with interference and clutching and grabbing for years, it's pretty frustrating. It's as if the post-lockout rules don't even apply to them.
 
NBC commentary is actually enjoyable to listen to for once.
They need to stick with this team all the time.
 
Terrible refereeing right from that first call on McDonagh. Solid hip check gets called a trip? Come on. Now Detroit can interfere, hold and apparently cheap shot at will. It makes the game very frustrating to watch.

This... usually the hate for the rangers is ridiculous but Pierre in particular is bring up an uncalled penalty every 3-5 minutes
 
Detroit is such a boring team too. Literally worse then playing New Jersey.

I like watching them. Their defense is something most teams should look up to... they know how to stack on the man and keep the puck away from the slot
 
Absolutely disgusting display of officiating today. I really think something needs to change, not only with the quality and consistency of officiating, but the culture of flopping that exists in the NHL. If the Rangers players had thrown their heads back and thrashed to the ice every time a stick came near them, they might have a couple calls come their way. Sadly, they try to play the game the right way and are punished. I want to see more dives called in the NHL, and not that 1 and 1, both guys go ********. Also would like to see more refs employed full-time, paid decent salaries to incentivize higher quality officials to take the job. As full-time employees you could mandate extensive training sessions and hold them more accountable for awful games like the one we are witnessing today. Overall, I'm just pretty ashamed of the state of my favorite sport, which is turning into soccer with the help of these incompetent officials. Rant over..
