I agree that Ekblad is overrated so I'll be mad if we overpay for him... But he'd automatically be our second best D and plays the style that Yzerman covets. So I'm concerned about the price, but I'd like it.

No idea if this is legit, but assuming it is:

• $4 mil base, $3 mil bonus.
• Right hander, so not sure how well he'd work alongside Mo
• Perfect partner for Edvinsson
• Not sure what it would cost to get him, I think we can eat the salary, but $7.5 mill cap hit for a 2RD is a bit much.
• Only one year left, if he fits in well you could sign him to a more reasonable contact if he's open to that. He's paid like an offensive dman, but he's not that guy.
