I don't expect playoff teams. But he could help a rebuilding team improve their culture. The Hawks for example can use him in that role

Like I said in the OP, after being waived his cap hit is 200k.

His cap hit next year is also 200K when waived by the leafs.

Cap will be 95.5M I think next year so that 200K wont really matter.

No team will trade for Reeves. But maybe a team could want him to reach cap floor or to have a AHL vet on his last year of his NHL career deal

Either way, I dont see Reeves as an issue. Hes just a lockerroom glue guy now and wont be on the ice much anymore

That's what I was thinking too, sure what the hell. Can you imagine the butthurt around here running a roster with Gudas, Trouba, Reaves, & Zegras playing the roll of the annoying kid brother. HF would lose their minds.

And it's not like calls from the officials have been going their way for a while now, may as well get some entertainment out of it too

No.

He's a guy you'll have to bury or trade with a small sweetener... burying him and reducing his hit to ~0.2m or leaving him in the press box as a 14th forward and only playing in emergencies are probably the Leafs smartest options
