I remember earlier this year looking at what a "State of Minnesota" native national-type team would look like and they were pretty loaded on Defense. Something about that state produces great defensemen relative to other positions. Something something midwest ethos.

Skjei and Miller probably, but McDonagh is still an absolute beast. There's a reason Tampa wanted him back so badly.

Oh yeah - how could I forget Kaiser? I'm as big a Kaiser fan as any Hawks fan. The only "negative" with Kaiser is that he's "only" 6'0" - but his excellent skating pretty much mitigates his lack of size.
