He looked really poised in the games I watched when he was on Swift Current, especially considering he was a rookie and on the worst team in the dub before he got traded. His skating and hockey Iq stood out.

I’d take him 3-4th round.

I think Florida made a lot of good value picks in this draft, but Puutio might have been the best one, maybe slightly edged by Sourdif at 87. Puutio took off after he was traded from the Broncos. Yeah he was on a much better team, but he's average sized, composed, a really smooth skater, and has a nice array of tools. Great value in the mid-5th.

It is!

I mean Zellweger had 4 more points than Puutio. Also from what I could see Puutio was just average defensive right? I mean Puutio is not physical at all. Did Puutio even play PK?
I’m a big Finland fan, but I have to admit that it was an absolutely weird choice. Zellweger was at least way better than Puutio, and I would say that Hughes and Andrae were quite clearly better than him too. He did some good things for Finland, and especially the only goal against Sweden was very important in the semifinals, but on the other hand he was occasionally quite surprisingly lost defensively. It’s almost comical to say that he was the best defenceman of the tournament.

Was drafted out of the WHL in 2020 but is now in his fourth Liiga season with his third team (Pelicans).

He is still just 21 (turns 22 this summer).
Does he fit in the Panthers' plans or is he more likely staying in Europe?

I doubt he will ever be signed by Panthers. I hope I'm wrong.

Panthers have until Saturday to sign him. His team in Finland reached the finals in their league.

If Florida doesn't sign him are there other NHL teams interested?
