I can't believe there's a real chance someone is going to be able to draft this guy outside of the top 10. This is one of if not the best class for defenders at the top I can remember.

As an Islander fan he would be a perfect fit. All our defense prospects are LHD would be nice having 1 high level RHD. That being said very unlikely he drops to 13.

Noah Dobson fell to #12 in a draft that was supposed to have 5 high end d-men.

This draft is similar. Carels/reid/rudolph/smits/verhoeff

Crazy how good he looks for PA, all due respect to the rest of the team but they have nothing on the pure talent of Everett, but Rudolph is really steering the ship there and making it interesting.
I am just hoping we get him at #7. Miettinen was probably the best player from Everett today and Rudolph was the best player for Prince Albert. Would be solid have players of that caliber.

Daxon Rudolph is Shea Weber 2.0.

I imagine he doesn't get passed Nashville.
I really like Rudolph. I really wish nobody would compare anybody with Weber anymore. Rudolph is way more skilled than Shea was at the same age. Nobody except massive outliers go from 195 lbs at 17, to playing at 235 lbs in their prime, except freaks. Shea Weber is/was a freak.

Yeah he’s so skilled and smart with and without the puck, especially on the offensive side of things. He is so good at timing and getting into the rush at the right times. I really like Cripps, too. Those two zipping it around together is fun to watch whenever they are out there together.

Hes going to be a big time draft riser, and I'm not saying top 10, I'm saying top 5.

Honestly considering his size, his production, skillset, and being a RHD... I could see team just falling in love with him, and trying to secure him by any means possible.

Would not be shocked at all. And it really comes down to which D-man teams like more. Stenberg and McKenna are shoe-ins for the top-5, but I am not too confident after that.

Malhotra can go in the top-5 if a team wants a C and he is arguably the best C available.
Reid/Carels/Rudolph/Verhoeff/Smits are all subjective to the team and their scouting group.

Yea, I'd be happy to be wrong, but I would be shocked to see him drop past 8.
Can't help but think of the Dobson comp a lot. Still not sure why he went as late as he did...especially when we think of the NHL drafting cliches: RHD with size and Centers as the premium. So it's funny he went after Kravstov, Zadina and Wahlstrom, not to mention a small mediocre skater in Boqvist. I think these D that don't apply the physicality you want from their size while having offense that doesn't necessarily pop through a wow factor are tough evaluations. I imagine orgs sometimes get the feeling it must mean there is a 'compete' concern. I mean, I had to defend Dobson many times over the years to Isles fans for this exact thing lmao. Be interesting to see how he's viewed on draft day

I don't see any computing errors in Rudolph's game. He has a bunch of teachable flaws, many of which come from his icetime in junior hockey.

Some team is going to get a steal in this guy.

Nitpicking a bit, but Boqvist looked like a high end skater in his draft year in terms of mobility with really slick hands. I distinctly remember being mad he went to the Hawks.

I can't see how he's not ranked top 5. What a playoff performance.

Same... I don't know why Daxon is ranked lower to the other guys, I mean in terms of points the guy dominated also in terms of size the guy is 6'3 and more then 200 pounds. If someone lands him at 8 or above they are going to get so damn lucky.

Just weird the kid isin't rank higher after that dominating playoffs as well.
