David Bedkowski - Elite Prospects

Didn't see a thread for him but he's caught my attention. Big defenseman with really great skating. Can dole out big hits. One to keep an eye on for the 2025 draft. I think his production is going to explode next season.

Right now he needs to improve his defense. His gap control and positioning is below average. But with his size and wingspan, the potential is there for him to grow this side of his game.

EliteProspects just ranked him in their most recent Top-50, and I must say I am very surprised to see this thread empty.

There's a lot to like about Bedkowski, I mean... he is a 6'5" RHD playing in the O, a smooth skater that plays a mean/physical game, has a booming shot and good breakout passes. Yes, his defensive game needs to improve, but that'll come.

I had him 32nd in my early-November ranking despite limited viewings due to his injury, but I seriously doubted of myself when I realized nobody was talking about him. Was it because of the injury? I don't know. But now I feel better knowing EP also likes him 😅 and hopefully he will start climbing the rankings.

Injuries and 2 points in 12 games definitely would have him go unnoticed but if Brady Cleveland can go top 50 he can too. I haven’t seen him play this year but I did last season and the raw tools and nastiness were mesmerizing. I think a team will find him very mouldable and take a shot.
