Really good skating puck moving dman for the upcoming Bantam draft who should be a high pick and pro future. Decent size for his age and high hockey IQ with a bit of edge to his game. Good chance he's the first dman to go off the board but a couple others who might sneak ahead of him if a team wants a different style of player. Looking forward to seeing how he progresses and hopefully high NHL pick also in a few years

Think a lot of teams are going to regret passing on him and Jim+Jacobson will be lethal on the PP together.

Regina moving up to get another elite talent in Pue to give Schultz help is great but very bold of them considering how badly they gave away 1sts during the Bedard era. Also great pick at 23 with Henry

Edmonton passing on Jim and going 2 massive DFD types is interesting but obviously they wanted size, think that's a mistake by them but that's the type they wanted.

Lots of teams reached early for size over skill to the benefit of teams picking later. The big kids are still solid players and most deserved to go in the first. Hopefully they can develop more offense and become 1st round NHL picks also.

Vancouver, Tri-City, Brandon and Saskatoon got great value picks with the skill dropping to them.

Kamloops had a big reach at 11 but made up for it with Bouchard at 14.

Only 2 Sask kids went which expected and MJ took a big chance on Elke at 18. Top 10 talent+upside but major effort/compete issues with him so who knows what he becomes. No major fallers that didn't go in the 1st, expecting to see goalie run start in the 2nd.

Overall it's a solid 1st round group just get to see over the next few years how these kids develop and become hopeful NHLers. Could be lots of NHL 1st rounders if the kids with size offense takes another step.
