RD Artyom Levshunov (2024, 2nd, CHI)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
He is shockingly good defensively. I thought that would be where he struggles, but he’s does not look out of place at all.
Closes gaps very fast…effortlessly, deceptively easily even against quick forwards who you’d think having a couple/few steps on him with a path to the net would beat him. He just snuffs the play.

Puck finds his stick in board battles beneath the goal line, and he moves it well. Can’t blame him for the completely pathetic inability of the forwards to execute a simple breakout second pass.

Offensively he’s finding his way, but obviously gets the puck to the net quite easily. Passing ok there.

I can’t imagine him being sent back down to the Hogs unless it’s to shelter him from the nightly wreckage.

He’s absolutely going back to Rockford.

Zero chance they burn a year of his deal.

You can’t imagine the Hawks aren’t gonna burn a year off his ELC for a couple of meaningless games? Strange take.

He looked okay out there but the black Hawk group of forwards is just awful.

Can see a lot of those guys not being back next year.
they're still in rebuild mode so another lineup of scrubs may be there unfortunately, just a new batch of them.

Exploding cap contracts can move. They have all the cap space in the world
The problem is that they need to find the right guys to sign there, that group is atrocious and really half of the froward group needs to be gone like yesterday.

It’s a rebuild stuff isn’t gonna be perfect, they have more talent coming in at the end of the season. Another top pick and should be active on the trade market.

Oliver Moore, Ryan Greene, Aidan Thompson, Dominic James all expected to sign once their season ends.
Rinzel probably signs too.

There are a lot of moving parts, and staggering entry level contracts and subsequent contracts is one of them. It might well be beneficial to burn a year for Levshunov, given the plethora of prospects who will be finishing juniors and college and entering the AHL and/or NHL over the next few years.

Still just prospects. I understand what wetcoast is saying

Realistically how many of those players will even be ready next year?
No clue. Another off season incoming. Moves do have to be made to get better. Whether it’s a big attempt to splash at let’s say Marner. Go after vets like Marchand, Nelson. Maybe a guy like Ehlers. Go after some guys who might be squeezed out even with the rising cap. Offer sheets maybe. Trades with the number of prospects and picks in the system.

Getting one of those 4 guys would help a lot although not sure how much Marchand has left in the tank.

It looks like, for the next few seasons, there will be 4+/- prospects per season looking to make the Hogs. Very few are going to be immediately ready for the Blackhawks, though some likely will surprise.

It does but for their sake they need to get some better expereinced forwards to lead the way, or at least one.

Why they signed Tyler Bertuzzi to that contract I'll never know.
