The good news is he is skating.. he didn't participate in any camps this summer.

He will probably have an up and down season due to the late start. Hoping he was able to work on his shot and release during rehab and maybe some upper body strength while his lower body healed. He's a great skater so not worried about long term skating impact. But would've loved to see him take about a millions shots in the last year to get that down.

The Czechs are having a top3 D core amongst men in 5 years. Mark my words. And they will have it for 5 to 10 years as well. Insane. Good for hockey.
They will be up there with Sweden and closer to the NA teams. The gap to Russia and Finland will be noticeable. Let's not forget that Dostal will be a top5 goalie in the world for years imo. Necas became a star... They are on a rise again. Slowly but unquestionable they sure are. Good for the sport of hockey.

Not so sure about that. Spacek, Svozil, Blumel, Kral not playing in NHL, Kulich being huge dissapointment, Benák getting manhandled in USHL and Jiricek looking like a bust and i am afraid his brother gets injured again at wjc. Don´t know if you are trolling us czech fans or feel sorry for us.

But we have that potential man! We just have to be patient (for another 20 years probably lol)

Sorry, absolutely not trolling. Not all prospects pan out. But many of those I've liked usually do with Heinola and Niemelä being the ones being the big exception so far.
But Heinola having injuries like Juolevi, Pulju and Vaakanainen doesn't help. Younger Jiricek seems to be injury prone sadly but let's hope he can stay healthy. The older one always looked slow but I was convinced regarding his talent as a offensive minded D. Both as a shooter but also ability to be calm with the puck in offense. Actually reminded me a bit of a Laine but as a defender. It's not over yet. Let's give him 1-2 years to bounce back. I honestly saw even more potential in David J than say Nemec.
Spacek plays in a franchise where it's difficult to earn a spot. I mean Salo had the situation back in Islanders when they were good one year two.
Svozil... He should be playing there already but the CBJ is nothing but a hot mess.

This game winner for Czechia today shows off his offensive potential. I don't think a player who doesn't play on an NHL PP eventually can make that play.

Man those sullen, salty Canadians had a difficult time turning on that goal horn, maybe they had expended all their goal horn button pushing energies all game by booing the Czech player who took a knee on knee from one of the dirty Canadian players. Had no strength left to reach toward the button, the boos toward an attacked player had been so lusty

What?

You have more info than the rest of us? Because all I know is, that he is day-to-day with a lower body injury ATM.

Yes, his injury history is concerning but we aren't at a point where we should give up on him yet.
Too many injuries after one major one, which made him half the player he was before, maybe not even that after i watched him at wjc.

You lose quite a bit of credibility if you’re judging him based on WJC, where he literally played 2 or 3 games beforehand, after not playing any hockey for a year.

And as the tournament went on, he eventually became our best overall defenseman.
