2-3 years away from the NHL will definitely be a cause for concern for some teams. It shouldn't really be but it will be. Similar to how Russian prospects that are signed in the KHL for a couple years beyond the draft fall because of it.
Who didn't the Red Wings have dinner with?
"All this for me? damn I feel special"
"no sorry hunny I did this for pretty much everyone. In fact you're my 3rd date this evening"

Is he starting next year in Swedish Juniors, or in the SHL? If I'm the Wings GM, I ask him this during the interviews.
Eliteprospects has him listed as playing for Brynas IF J20 (juniors) to start the 2018-19 season.
He’d probably tell you he’s 2-3 years away from the SHL.Boqvist would be the wrong person to ask.
Boqvist would be the wrong person to ask.
What is your best guess as to where he plays in September?
Shouldn't you be happy if he gets picked high by another team since he obviously sucks so much? Seems pretty ridiculous to be happy about a prospect falling just because. Did he bully you in school?
Their posts are here for everyone to see. Call them out in about a year for their bad takes.
It’s one thing to be modest about knowing a player would having success when there was little controversy, but the abuse from the NA fans towards Boqvist is total rubbish. Don’t let it go unchallenged. Call it out, so they start paying closer attention the next time instead of believing the TSN propaganda.
He was swedens best player at the recent u-18 tournament and was dominant. He played a lot better than Smith did and I personally think boqvist was the best dman in the tournament. Pk subban is a terrible comparison, especially for upside. He has a heck of a wrist shot and is a pp specialist. Good at transitioning from defense to offense. Plays decent in his own zone as well (better than hughes imo).I don’t have TSN, seen him live in Gävle and seen more of his play on TV with Almtuna than I saw I did Hlinka.
He’s a 75 foot player. Allergic to the puck in his own end under pressure, needs his partner to soak the forecheck so he has room to roam.
Yes, too small to handle playing D against men in his own end, but didn’t generate O against them with optimal deployment on 2 levels.
D against his own cohort was serviceable in transition, but once the other team gained the zone he was disinterested to be generous. Didn’t cover posts, didn’t try and cut off passing lanes to weak side and didn’t move his feet to make either happen. A game watcher. His own J20 coach says he needs work.
3 years to be competent in SHL, another 2 years to compete in the NHL.
Not a waste of resources, but wouldn’t touch him in the top 20. His upside is PK Subban, but an anorexic version of him. His D upside is sheltered pair.
Hoping he falls to the Oilers.
