Dude brought me some of my favourite hockey memories. I’m kind of stunned. What happened? He wasn’t old.

Those playoff runs in '08 and '09 were incredible.

Thanks for everything, Ray.

62 is way too young to go. May he rest in peace.

Goligoski for Niskanen and Neal
A conditional 3rd for Guerin
Traded a pile of nothing for Hossa and Dupuis

Didn’t like all his moves, but he and the people he surrounded himself with like Boterill and Fitzgerald and Guerin etc basically created the Pens culture that won 3 Cups.

Wow, usually this kind of news doesn’t take me aback this much. I mean after all, we never really know these individuals as fans. But as a big Penguins fan back in the early Crosby days Ray was always present and always felt just as much of a face as the franchise as Geno, Sid, Gonchar, etc to me back then. RIP Ray. My mom passed at that age 7 years ago, way too young. My kids have no memories of her
