Apparently just a full on Extreme Rules match.
It'll be an 'extreme rules' match, but I don't think that really says anything other than there'll be some gimmick to it. I suspect we'll get some more Bullet Club shenanigans which leads to a cage match, as that's the logical place to go.

He's not ready for his return yet, so he couldn't do anything physical. No real point in him showing up just to say hello.

It'll be interesting to see how he's used on his return, if Reigns is still in this spot, Orton may be a good buffer to get Reigns to Summerslam for a bigger program.

I think the plan was for him to be fed to Bray.

We know the plan for Bray's summer was for him to face Reigns, then to face Lesnar at Summerslam. The Wyatts were meant to be in a program with the League of Nations, leading to them breaking up. That's been skipped due to the injury, and they just broke the League up on TV. So the future plans for Bray must still be in place, else they would have just kept the League together to do that program later.

So they feed League of Nations and Orton to Bray to build him up for his summer run.

Also, Bray is the reason Orton is out. He was one of Reigns and Ambrose's tag partners that the Wyatts kept taking out during that program last year.

But I think he's the perfect placeholder guy right now. He could do anything with anyone, be it building them up or just a short program before the next big one starts.

So the current Vince plan for 33 is Brock/Rock and Taker/Cena. See if that sticks...

No long term plans for Corbin at the moment. Ugh what was the point of dragging him and Apollo up when you have Joe and Finn ready to go letting both Corbin and Apollo a chance to grow into top heel and face down there.

What studio in their right mind would get the insurance for The Rock to compete in a match with this Suplex City form of Brock Lesnar?

I mean it could probably be a lot worse, especially if this is coming straight from Vince's world, but I'll be surprised if Rock/Brock sticks. Could be entertaining as long as they don't do something completely idiotic like having Brock's rub go to Rock of all people

Rock/Brock is a big draw but Brock has to go over, you can't waste the Brock rub on the Rock. Gotta give it to some super face or mega heel later down the road, unless Brock drops a loss before Mania.

The promos between Heyman and Rock would be gold tho

That's not the correct question to ask.

The insurance issue was only because Rock was already filming something (or just about to start). If he didn't have any movies lined up, then insurance would have been a trivial matter.

When does the Rock not have movies lined up though? He is booked up for like the next 10 years lol

The Rock always has stuff lined up. Looking at his IMDB page:

San Andreas 2 - announced
Rampage - announced
Journey to the Center of the Earth 4 - announced
Journey 3: From Earth to the Moon - announced
Fast 8 - filming, released in April 2017
Baywatch - filming, released in May 2017
Jumanji - pre-production, released in 2017
Shazam - announced

From promotional stuff he'll have to do for Fast 8 and Baywatch at that time, to filming for one of those announced titles, to Baywatch, there's no way I see his scheduling allowing it without a studio needing to okay it and getting him the insurance.

Dwayne Johnson is an actor first.

Having stuff lined up isn't always a problem. The important detail is always with the actual dates things are happening. This year he's filming Baywatch right now, so couldn't do anything. Next year he might have just gotten done with filming something and have time before the next one.

It's gonna be a case of stars aligning to see him at 'Mania again. But I'm sure we'll see him wrestle again at some point, it'll just be the WWE working around him opposed to only wanting him at 'Mania.

Observer saying that Seth is getting close, but he is also busy filming The Temple so we won't see him until that wraps (and he has no set backs of course).

Orton is still a ways off. The plan is for him to start training for the ring in mid-June and return sometime after that.

I read that he's supposed to get back into the performance center to train and return some time in mid-june.
