Pushing Reigns down peoples mouths while everyone else can be the bigger star really proves CM punks point about Vince being a millionaire that should be a billionaire

And I've been avoiding all these spoilers for the Rumble. Thanks
It's been posted in the spoiler-free topics I'm sure, I remember complaining about there being talk of the Bullet Club in Rumble thread at least. Anyway:

Styles was a free agent working for NJPW without a contract.
Gallows is also a free agent, but Anderson is under contract with NJPW. Anderson gave notice and could leave at the end of the month, but he's probably staying longer than that to finish off what he and Gallows are currently doing.
Nakamura is also under contract, but he's leaving at the end of the month.

Gallows and Anderson are booked through the 14th of February with NJPW, they start on the road to new beginning tour this Friday leading up to the two big New Beginning shows on the 11th and 14th.

Nakamura will be done this Saturday night with his last match in Tokyo, should be great and sad.

They're signed in the most unofficial way. Like... we know they're going to sign, but they can't say that yet.

Basically but don't expect any Bullet Club story to start until post-mania most likely.

Who knows what the plan with Swagsuki is. They do have time to introduce him post Fastlane and push him straight into a mid card belt feud at Mania if they really want to.

Owens was on the Mike Calta show and claimed he wasn't going to be in the Rumble and had to insist they put him in despite the crazy match he had to open with Dean.

Other highlights was he was happy to toss AJ Styles, and then apparently saw him the next day in traffic and screamed "I threw your ass out in the Royal Rumble" at him.

He also refused to acknowledge Renaulo's name and keeps referring him to him as "the new guy" among other highlights.

So Owens is staying in character, love it!

Offtopic... but I was surprised no one whined about The Rock's comment to Saxton during his segment last night.

I thought of something. So it seems creative believes that need a long standing part timer star to be in the main event of WM for it to draw unless you have someone like Cena. Why we seem to have HHH as champ.

My question is if this is the case. Why not just use Brock, the younger guy who is also over. Is it really just ego? I can't believe its because they really think HHH is more of a needle mover then Brock.

I think the idea is that a Triple H vs. Roman storyline is more personal and will help Roman get over with the crowd when he finally wins. The whole point of the WM main event is to firmly establish Roman Reigns as the #1 face in the company.

WWE can't come up with original ideas anymore, so they're going back to what works. Austin vs. McMahon, Bryan vs. Authority, they want Reigns to chase the big bad corporate heel and win a convincing main event at WM.

Not to mention we already got Roman vs. Brock last year and people wanted nothing to do with it. If Reigns pins Lesnar clean to win the title he'll be getting a massive negative reaction from every male over the age of 12. Which is probably why they called an audible and went with the Rollins swerve last year.

I'm not sure it's a matter of being a needle mover or just getting a part timer in. I think WWE legitimately thinks this is the best way to get Reigns over as the next top guy in the company.

It's easy for us to say that's stupid, but that's never stopped WWE in the past. They see what they want to see and make the facts fit their vision of things.

Has there every been a guy that WWE forced on us...for sooooo long...with so little success?

I'm trying to think of anybody in the same conversation but I'm drawing a blank.

See I get and understand the Roman/HHH match should happen, but as the main event for the title its silly.

And in the long term booking from the past is an utter waste. You have Brock break the streak, and continue to build him up into a super monster after suplexing Cena into oblivion.

The idea behind last year was an excellent idea, and everything was set up perfectly. The new babyface going in to avenge the streak, conquer the beast and win the title? ****ing perfect...except for the face they chose. Its why it fell apart and they had to call the mulligan with the cash in.

In hindsight its good they didn't go with DB because of his injuries (though if they did and he stayed healthy, DB would of been living in the stars as one of the biggest top faces ever after that). Plan B most likely should of been Dean. If they just chose ANYONE that was organically over with the crowd. The main event would of worked to perfection.

Anyway why I bring it to this year is this. It is now two years since Brock broke the streak, all he has done over the past year is feud with Taker and go over him again. They are never going to waste that streak rub on a nothing mid-card feud with Bray (or anyone else. It would be just as stupid if KO went over Brock in a nothing match at Mania). Brock's first pin in forever needs to be in a main event big time, big deal match.

If not then they should of just never broke the ****ing streak because they are wasting it.

So if they are so gung-ho Roman is the guy. Grow some grapefruits and give him the streak rub and live with it.

I usually go over my friend's for Wrestlemania. If Roman and Hunter is the main event, I intend on getting up and leaving.

I like Roman. He's a solid worker with a great look, but I would love for all of this to backfire. Meaning, the crowd cheers HHH and boos Reigns.

Be like me and skip everything involving Reigns and the Authority. It makes Raw so much better.

well i did not even bother to watch raw monday and that was knowing the rock was probably going to be there..i just will not force myself to sit thru more of reigns super cena ********, we all know he's winning the title at mania and haitch winning the title just gives me bad memories of the early 2000's where he dominated the entire show and where we saw the interest in wrestling starting to decline

I don't mind Reigns, I don't even mind Reigns as champ. I don't like him being shoved down our throats as the face of the company though.

If they want to have him be the Sid/Booker T kind of guy hovering just below the main event scene I'd be fine with it. Guys who get a main event every so often and are legitimate threats, but spend most of their time in the mid card. Give them a championship program every 18 months or so, let them have the title for 1-3 PPVs, and then back down to the mid card. Solid, reliable "change of pace" title guys.

That will forever be the problem with WWE, though, at least until Vince finally croaks.

From Cena to Reigns, he's too stubborn to realize you can't just TELL the fans what to like, or who to cheer for.

We know what kind of crowd Wrestlemania is, and especially the following night on Raw
