this is a perfect time to bring along a new star. So in the end we all know deep down Roman wins! because heaven forbid we let someone else have the ball.

In terms of HHH/Reigns. It makes 100% sense to have that match. It makes 0% sense to have it for the title.

If they have the match, I hope the match ends in DQ or with HHH winning but with the help of an NXT heel who makes their main roster debut (Joe?) by helping HHH win and beating the **** out of Reigns. It sets up the next feud and makes sense as a heel wants to defend his owner from NXT to take down "the man" given everything in Reigns.

So that's the way I'd like to see a new star developed. It keeps Reigns out of the main event, but gives him a big match. It creates a new heel. It creates a post-mania feud. It's something new. It meets your criteria and doesn't have Roman win. Then we can still get our WWE title match with Lesnar in it.

i just dont know how much more i can stomach having reigns shoved down my throat i'm just so tired of wwe's idiotic way of booking in that the roster exists for 1 or two guys to beat all the time, especially when they constantly misuse really talented people

I agree. It DEFINITELY has to happen, but it shouldn't be for the title or be the main event. Should be one match on the card.

AJ Styles teasing again that he'll be at the Royal Rumble at an Indie house show.
Wasn't a house show. It was a show for RevPro here in England, it'll be up on their on-demand service in a few days. AJ Styles was their champion, so they got the belt off of him before he signs with WWE.

The guy who won it, Zack Sabre Jr. is amazing btw. Great technical guy, very British in style. He'll show up in NXT within a couple of years I'm sure. There's a good crop of English wrestlers right now. Very much an "when, not if" situations. They'll be getting WWE contracts sooner or later.

When was the last time a star actually debuted in the Rumble? I don't mean an NXT guy that made a one time appearance and then came up later. I mean a guy who debuted in the Rumble and was on the main roster after that?

I believe Rusev in the 2014 Rumble. I think he stayed up.

Well....does Bubba last year count?

Nah Bubba disappeared for like 6 months and then made a second surprise return with D-Von later. Besides Bubba wasn't debuting. I'm talking about someone new

That could be. I thought he went back down until post Mania but you might be right.

The problem with the Rumble is they're not going to debut anyone they intend to push unless that guy wins. Debuting in the Rumble is like the stairway to the midcard.

Anyone else think that there won't be a decisive winner of the Royal Rumble match this year?

I think there's going to be something screwy happen somewhen during the Rumble, might be the end, might not be.

They're reportedly wanting to make Fastlane a bigger event, with fallout from the Rumble being the main set up for that. So something is going to happen.

Well Fastlane has to be bigger because of the stipulation on the Rumble. Rumble determines the champ, but we won't know who the champ is wrestling at Mania so they have to put a number 1 contender match and most likely a title match at Fastlane.

First year I can think of where Fastlane and not the Rumble determines the Mania main event (DB was never going to lose to Roman last year).

The dirt sheets are saying the plan is still for Roman to go into Mania as champ so IDK. I hope for a swerve in there because Roman/HHH as the main event for the title is a horrible idea. They should wrestle, but not in that spot or for the strap.

Nikki and Paige rumored to be backstage tonight.

Nikki is still rehabbing her neck and might still need surgery, and Paige is potentially still a week away before she can work again after her concussion.

Could just be something for Total Divas. No word on Sasha :(

According to RSN: WWE offering HBK a boatload of money to come out of retirement to work the Royal Rumble. HBK declining.
