WWE: Raw and Smackdown Part 5 the Paul Levesque Era

asuka even with the clear rust is still one of the absolute best

also i love this version of sheamus, id say hes the least likely person to ever turn heel again, i can see tozowa turning heel before sheamus lol

I guess Liv misses Evolution now. A bit similar to what happened with Alexa Bliss before the previous one. She was scheduled to have a tag match with Mickie James vs Trish & Lita but that got changed to Alicia Fooooooooooox & Mickie vs the Trish and Lita.

Man, the women's division has come a long way.

Bill Goldberg getting his retirement match is fine, it’s not like he’s overstayed his welcome. Should be an interesting match though. Walter is methodical, doesn’t work quick matches like Goldberg does.

Gunther should go full William Regal on Goldberg and just embarrass the hell out of him. Gunther can't lose this... can he? I just keep remembering what Goldberg did to KO and Bray.

Also, why the hell is Iyo playing cheerleader to Nikki f***ing Bella? Jesus. What year is this?

Also, who are the womens tag champions?

Liv and Raquel

Which is better?

A) Have Seth's two minions somehow cost Gunther the title to Goldberg, who is then quickly dispatched by Rollins with the MiTB.

B) Have Gunther beat Goldberg clean, only to then be dispatched by Rollins with help from his two goons and MiTB.

I say it's A. Gives fans a feelgood moment, puts a nice cap on Goldberg's career, and Rollins still becomes champ.

Meanwhile I think it furthers Gunther's development into a babyface character more than Option B does as it stings more getting screwed and losing the title to Goldberg than just getting screwed anyways to lose the title directly to Rollins.

I have been barely watching the for a while, but has it been determined that Rollins is targeting Gunther? I think I would prefer Gunther just beat Goldberg and keep the belt, and have Rollins focus on Cena and eventually Cody

B is far more likely. Goldberg can barely walk so the match will be short. Plus, retirement match + home town = automatic loss. You go out on your back.

I haven't agreed with much of what Bully has said since he signed his legends deal...this is an interesting comparison

Normally I would agree, but what is there to gain from Gunther cleanly beating a 58-year old Goldberg? Especially if the plan is to move Gunther into a feud with Seth with Seth playing the heel?

Don't get me wrong, in no way, shape or form should Goldberg pin Gunther clean. If Goldberg wins the match is has to be a screw-job finish. I think A gains Gunther more sympathy than B.

That being said, it will likely be B if anything.

I think if Goldberg Spears Günther a few times, then Bron Spears him a few times, then it can be said he was ripe to be cashed in. There's your sympathy. Plus, he already mentioned Seth so it feels like it's in writing.

That's pretty good. Toss in a Tsunami or two.
